Textured Notes

This week I've gone a little bit rustic! It's fun to step away from my usual clean and simple style and make something a little more earthy. I've used the Textured Notes bundle, which I absolutely love. It's part of the Online Exclusives offering in the Online Store. It's so quick and easy to create a collage-type effect with this set. Make sure you order the bundle - the co-ordinating Textured Notes Dies have awesome rectangle dies in lots of different sizes, with lovely die-cut border designs. I've also used the Elements of Text stamp set, which has beautiful script backgrounds and ink splodge images.

I wanted some texture for the background, so I pulled out some sheets of the Country Woods DSP and gave them even more texture using the Birch Wood 3D embossing folder. I also roughed up the edges a little.

The colours I've used are Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige and Early Espresso.

Floral Delight Card Set

This week I shared my swap cards from our recent Demonstrator Event. Swapping is always a fun part of these gatherings. Basically you make a number of cards and swap them with other Demonstrators so that at the end you have a bunch of different cards, and have met lots of lovely people in the process. It's lots of fun!

I challenged myself to use every pattern in the Floral Delight DSP from the Mini Catalogue, so my swap cards were all the same, but different. I also used the Online Exclusive Everyday Arches Dies. These dies nest beautifully, so you can easily layer them. I cut an arch from the centre of my piece of DSP, and then layered it on a Basic White arch that is one size up. Then I simply layered it back on my DSP piece. I added a strip of Old Olive cardstock to anchor the sentiment, which is also stamped on a sideways arch.

I added some Daffodil Delight Satin ribbon (also from the Mini) and some Iridescent Foil Gems for a bit of bling.

Delightful Florals

This week I've been sharing my swap cards from our recent Demonstrator Event. Swapping is always a fun part of these gatherings. Basically you make a number of cards and swap them with other Demonstrators so that at the end you have a bunch of different cards, and have met lots of lovely people in the process. It's lots of fun!

I challenged myself to use every pattern in the Floral Delight DSP from the Mini Catalogue, so my swap cards were all the same, but different, as you can see.

This design would work with any patterned paper that you have in your stash. I also used the Online Exclusive Everyday Arches Dies. These dies nest beautifully, so you can easily layer them. I cut an arch from the centre of my piece of DSP, and then layered it on a Basic White arch that is one size up. Then I simply layered it back on my DSP piece.
